One Thing I do Every Day

via Deviant Art and LeaLion
Aside from the obvious like shower and brush my teeth, I drink coffee and I write. Usually these occur together so I'm counting them as one. If I'm working, it's usually writing while wishing I was doing something else. If I'm writing my fiction, I am in the moment and loving it.

Other times, I'm not working or writing fiction, but I'm writing a blog post, an instant message, or outlining a story. I try to write every single day in one form or another. My obsession with shiny objects and new ideas takes me in twenty-seven different directions, but as long as I'm writing, I cut myself some slack on the impulsive quest for the new and exciting.

Other than basic hygiene, cleaning or taking care of your families, name one thing you do every day. Is there something you wish you could do and can't because there isn't enough time in the day?

  1. I do the same. I feel different if I don't have a chance to write, like I am missing something important. I dream of a day when I can write full time and not have to leave the house to go to my job. Now if I could just win the lottery...

    1. Me too! I try to take one day a week away from the computer for my mental health so to speak, but I find myself itching to write something, anything.

Oh, if only winning the lottery were possible!

    1. Homework is definitely like work...that you do at home. You have my sympathy. I always hated homework.

  3. I work on SOMETHING every single day. (With three jobs, it's hard not to LOL) But I wish I would take the time to READ every single day. Working on that one!

  4. You are always working! It exhausts me to even read your weekend activities.

Reading is so important. I do less of it than I'd like but I do try to read a book every week or two. It used to be a book every other day! I miss that.

  5. Oooh, I like this one! Something I do everyday is listen to some of my podcasts on my iPhone. Sometimes I listen while on a walk, sometimes before falling asleep. I really like the stories like "The Moth" and interviews on "Nerdist" and "Fresh Air."

    1. I love Chris Hardwick! I haven't listened to the podcast from Nerdist, but I watch his Talking Dead show every week when The Walking Dead is on tv.

I don't know The Moth or Fresh Air, though.

    1. Seems a lot like my day except for the coffee part. Maybe one day you could travel? Thanks for swinging by to comment!

    1. A time machine would be awesome! I'd go back in time to change some things not live there permanently. Actually, now that I'm really considering it, I'd leave my life alone. I'm pretty content with where I am at the moment. Never know what I would mess up with changes.

  9. I want to grow my online brand! I'm so excited to be a blogger and there is so much more to come! I have two little kids. I want to be there as a mom, but I also want to pursue my passion.

    1. I don't see any reason you can't do both. I wish I had found out about the whole writing thing earlier. I didn't have to wait until they were grown to do it!

      Wishing you luck!

  10. I would love to exercise every single day. But I haven't found the time to do that yet! Especially since I have been traveling and sick the last month. But I plan to get on that as soon as I get better!

    1. It's tough to find time to do everything we want. Have to pick and choose! Hope you get better soon.
