Tall Tale Tuesday: March 18th

Once again, I was thoroughly impressed with the stories contributed to the prompts this week. Please, check out the stories!

Marcia at Blogitudes wrote Maggie's Treasures.
Samantha at The Marble Jar wrote Once Upon a Monday.

Both stories were utterly amazing. Each took a prompt and ran with it. What's even more impressive is that they wrote these stories in a limited amount of time! Very talented writers.

Here's this week's prompts. Take a swing at them, and remember, it's all about freeing your imagination. Don't worry about whether you think you're a fantastic writer or not. If the prompts tickle your creative nerve endings, then write what comes to you.

It's late at night. You're headed home on a dark highway when you spot something suspicious on the side of the road.
*What do you see? Do you stop or continue driving?*

The woman wakes before her alarm. For a moment, she's confused about what woke her. Then she hears it. A small scrape from her living room.
*Talk about the noise, and what she does next."

During a first date, a man and woman notice a couple celebrating an anniversary. Although, the married couple is at dinner, celebrating. They don't seem especially happy.
*Describe how it appears to the dating couple, or talk about why the married couple is unhappy.*

(Again, ignore the linky title here.)

  1. I love your prompts. I really should attempt to re-write one of them. I just don't feel as creative as you...lol You do inspire me though.

    1. What will it hurt to give it a shot? You don't even have to show anyone, but you might find that you have a hidden talent waiting to explode out of you!

  2. OMG! Don't stop! I am LOVING this. So much fun! Partly because if I try to come up with my own idea by force I stare at the screen and drool. That's bad for keyboards. I can't wait!

    1. It is bad for keyboards. Unless you have one of those spill proof ones, then it wouldn't matter. I'm probably going to pick a prompt this week, too!

  3. Hi MIssy! I'm sad because I can't participate this week. :( Had some doctor appointments etc. this week that have gotten me all off schedule (blog-wise). I much appreciate your shout out above and I do really love coming up with s story based on your great prompts! I'll definitely be looking forward to next week. :)

    1. I'm sorry to hear that you won't be participating this week! I love reading your stories, but I completely understand. Have to keep schedule on your own blog before being part of someone else's. I can't wait to see what you write next week.

      Take care!
