This week's theme is the heart. Heart-warming or heart-wrenching. You can go whichever direction you choose, as always. I'm not going to use the linky post widget. If you have a story you'd like to share, feel free to add it to the comments. I'll link it inside next week's prompt post.
A young boy brings home a bouquet of
flowers. The woman he gives them to isn't his mother, but someone
he's grown very close to.
**Talk a little about who the person
is, and how they've become close.**
The woman sits sadly at her kitchen
table sipping coffee. She is about to celebrate her 50th birthday
alone for the first time.
**Why is she alone? Does anyone do
anything to surprise her?**
The bill envelope was left in a pile by
the door with the others. Finally, he opened it only to find that it
wasn't a bill at all.
**What was in the envelope?**
I chose the first prompt. True flash fiction- read it, wrote as quickly as possible and posted. http://www.themarblejar.com/fiction-2/peanut-butter-flowers/
